Dear Council and Members of Peace Lutheran Church,

It is with mixed emotions that I notify you of my resignation as Senior Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church. I give God thanks for the ministry we have shared together these past eleven years.

I will be semi-retiring and have accepted a call as the Support Services Coordinator with the Channahon Fire Protection District. I have been endorsed by the ELCA Chaplain Corps for specialized ministry in the fire service. I will technically retire but remain rostered as a minister of word and sacrament. My last day with you will be Sunday, May 12th. The council and I will meet with Rev. Jen Beamsley, Assistant to the Bishop on May 7th to determine the next steps for Peace.

I will miss all of you very much and will carry with me wonderful memories of my time serving with you and all that God has done in this place! I will keep you in my prayers as you continue your work to go to share with others Gods saving love in Jesus that all may know the hope of his promises and the joy of his peace.

Peace,
Pastor Lu
