Today is September 1st! Wow... September already? And have you noticed some of the trees beginning to change colors? Actually, fall is my favorite season. I love the colors of the trees, the cooler weather, time to light the fireplace and snuggle up with a good book! Before you know it, the snow will be flying!
In our lives this is the time when vacations are over, school begins, and our lives get busier. The same thing is happening here at Peace. We have some big plans for this fall! On Sunday, September 11th we will be delivering goodies to our area first responders after worship as part of the ELCA's "God's Work, Our Hands" project. The homeschool group we host on Tuesday mornings will be starting up too. On Sunday, September 25th we will be holding a ministry fair and breakfast. Each committee/team at Peace will have a display set up where you can browse through the many ways to "plug in" to the different ministries. Confirmation will begin on Sunday, October 2nd with a record of six students! We will also be participating in the Corn Fest parade that afternoon. On Saturday, October 15th will be our annual Pet Blessing in the parking lot. Sometime in November I will be hosting a Lutheran 101 class where we will investigate the inner workings of being a Lutheran.
So, there are lots of exciting things coming up to be involved with and reach out to the community! It's an exciting time to be a part of Peace... there is a place for you here!
See you Sunday!
