I hope you have been enjoying the new and improved online worship services. We are still making adjustments in order to make it even better. It does take more time and effort, but I think the results are very good and well worth it. I'd like to intoduce the team that is making this happen. First, our Director of Music Sara Hundley has been doing all the editing and posting of the videos each week. Next is Eric Peterson who has been doing the video portion of the service and preparing it to send to Sara. Nick Rossi is handling the audio portion and coordinates with Eric to make sure everything goes smoothly. Our musicians Scott Larson and Sara Hundley are at the recording session to play all the music “live.” My husband Jim is also in attendance in case we need anything or just an extra pair of hands. He is also our professional "clapboard" operator! We all wear masks and socially distance as much as possible. Obviously, I remove my mask for the recording, but I am at least 10 feet away from anyone. We have been recording on Sunday morning at 11:00 am for the next Sunday. The recording session lasts about an hour and a half to two hours. If you have any comments or suggestions to improve what we’re producing, please email me at email@example.com.
I also wanted to let you know that I will be taking a week of vacation beginning 7/20/20. Jim and I had hoped to go to Wisconsin for a couple days to celebrate our anniversary, but we are waiting a bit longer to see where the COVID virus is headed. Either way, I will be “off the grid” for the entire week. Pastor Ben Ingelson from Resurrection Lutheran Church in Channahon will cover any pastoral emergencies that arise. If you need him, the council and Betsy have his number. The staff of the Northern Illinois Synod has provided an entire worship service to all the pastors to use when we take a Sunday off. I have forwarded it to Sara who will set it to “premiere” on our Facebook page at 9:00 am on Sunday, July 26th. I’ve watched it and it’s very good!
“See” you Sunday!
