As you already know, my favorite season is fall. I love the cool breezes, blue skies, changing colors, and swirling leaves. What you might not know is my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. For all the reasons I just listed as well as a special day to get together with family and friends simply to give thanks for what we have. No presents to buy, no decorations to put up, just time together with good food, family, and football!

Seriously though, it is a perfect time for us to all to take a moment to be thankful for what God has given us. One of my favorite hymns for this season:

Now thank we all our God
With heart and hands, and voices,
Who wondrous things has done,
On who his world rejoices;
Who from our mother’s arms
Has blessed us on our way
With countless gifts of love,
And still is ours today.
