We Need You!

We’re all too young to remember, but, in 1916 this iconic Uncle Sam recruitment poster was created. It shows a stern Uncle Sam pointing his finger at the viewer and saying, “I Want You!” This was to encourage young men to join the armed forces in WW1. It was very effective!

Well, imagine a new kind of recruitment poster. It could be my face, or our council president David Kellam’s face. But the sentiment is the same, “We Want You!” or maybe “We Need You” would be more accurate. This Sunday is the annual meeting of Peace Lutheran Church. It is the time of the year we celebrate all that has happened in the past year and look forward to what will happen in the coming year.

Some of you might not be interested in attending because it’s “business” and most likely boring. Well, yes and no. It is about the business of the church but it’s never boring! It is an essential part of who we are as a congregation. Without the input of each and every member, we don’t get the big picture of who we are as Peace Lutheran. Emails have gone out the last 2 Sundays and another is scheduled for this Sunday prior to the meeting. The annual report as well as the Zoom link to the meeting is there for you.
