A few weeks ago, we held a worship focus group after worship to get your ideas. You gave us a lot of great things to think about and work on!

Here are three areas the worship team will be focusing on in the coming months:

  • We have begun a tech fundraising campaign to upgrade our existing equipment. We need some new mics as well as a new projector. We would love to expand to two screens as well. Our goal is $4,000 for these upgrades. If you would like to contribute, there is an option online for “tech fund” here, or you can just note that on your check.
  • We are adding a few more contemporary songs to the service. For now, we just can’t afford to hire someone to lead contemporary music, so we are going to integrate it into what we already do.
  • There was a discussion regarding worship times, so we have created a survey that went out Sunday afternoon to gather your thoughts. If you haven’t filled it out yet, please do so here. This past Lenten season we tried the evening services at 6:00 pm instead of 7:00 pm and we had about the same attendance either way. This year Christmas Eve is on a Sunday so we are considering having a service in the morning which would be celebrating the fourth Sunday in Advent and then a service in the early evening celebrating Christmas.
